How Accurate Is Your Mental Globe?

Can you name the missing city in this diagram? If you can then you could be the potential daily champion of City Angle – a fun new geography puzzle game.

If you think you know your global geography because you can point out Italy on a blank map, City Angle is here to completely shatter your confidence.

At its core, this game flips the standard “point-and-click” map trivia template on its head. Instead of looking at a map and guessing a city, you are shown a geometric hub-and-spoke diagram of a mystery city, stripped entirely of its geographical context. You are given nothing but a series of vectors showing the relative compass headings (angles) and great-circle distances to other major global hubs.

Every line in the diagram is a clue, giving you both the direction and distance to another known city. By mentally plotting those vectors – or literally triangulating them on a globe – you can gradually narrow down the only possible location where all the angles and distances align. It’s part geography quiz, part navigational puzzle, and a surprisingly effective reminder that the world is a lot harder to visualise than most of us like to admit.

You are scored on how many guesses it takes to identify each hidden city correctly. Complete all five rounds – each featuring a different mystery city – and your final score is revealed, along with your position on the global leaderboard.
